Vestiges d'une fable
for soprano, flute, cello and piano__11'__2014
3rd place : Prix Collégien de musique contemporaine 2015
PROGRAM NOTE
Excerpt from Dre. Tricna Bisay's Forms of Sung Theatre (Chapter 4 – Personification):
"Little research has been done on the concept of personification in this fable, but from what is known of their mythologies, we can confirm that the performer incarnates different archetypal characters, such as the child, the saboteur, the abbess… What is uncertain is whether the vocalist voluntarily evokes concepts of nature, both visible – fauna – and invisible – the evil eye."
